Question 1967 Camaro steering Issue

Hi All,

I have a completely new front end including new upper and lower tubular control arms, stabalizer bar, new quick ratio power steering box,rag joint and so on (all new front end). I have also added a rear stabilizer bar as well. I have had a custom front end alignment as well. The car steers straight when you let go of the steering wheel and when you turn it one way or another it seems to take a second or so to react and when it does it can pull in the direction you have turned the wheel quit hard. You can feel a stiffness or binding even when you have the car running in park and you are turning the wheel from side to side. I have had a mechanic friend look at it and he is also stumped. Does anyone out there have any ideas or suggestions? I would really appreciate the responses.

Thanks
George

Maybe a defective steering box. You could disconnect the pitman arm and just turn the box by itself and see how it feels.
