Default z28 fuel

I am selling my white 95 3.4 liter v6 camaro and I am going to buy a 1993-1997 z28. I used regular unleaded gasoline for my v6, will the z28 also take unleaded or do I need to use octane or premium? Thanks

The LT1 was dwsigned for premium fuel (91 + octane). It will run on regular but not very well. Power and fuel economy will go down considerably.

Although the good ole LT1 can drink the regular she prefers the good stuff. Detonation is less likley with 94 and higher octane gas. Detonation is when gas explodes under compression before the ignition/spark plug fires it. Normally it sounds like faint pinging while under acceloration.

You WILL notice a diffrence in performance with the 94.
