Default WOW modding take alor more $$$ then you'd think

So when i decided to start modding I came up with a list that put me right round $3000 for everything (for parts). And now today I started thinking of all the stuff that needs to be done aswell. Gaskets, rod and main bearing, studs and bolts, cap and rotor, plugs and wires, oil filter and oil for 2 oil changes (one for the break in and another once its broken in). So now the list is at about $4400 and I am alomost 100% sure with the way things are already going another $1000 probley isnt out of the question. The basic point being if you wanna mod be prepared to bend over.

i have a full mod list and for the amount im looking to spend (over years of course) would probably amount to a 98-02 Trans Am WS6.. Hell maybe even a corvette.. its an expensive list lol.

YEP, welcome to the insanity! This must be your first car project? Get used to things costing more than anticipated, and having it take longer than you thought it would. Try breaking something as simple as a bolt, then having to tear half the car apart to be able to get the other piece out. And we call this hobby fun!

I spent $6500 after everything was said and done. But then again I did get a rebuilt block and I put brand new heads and cam and new lifters, roller rockers, pushrods, water pump, opti and new wires. So I guess it wasn't that bad.

Yeah, some people just can't leave things well enough alone! I mean, to totally modify a car just for the sake of being different or going faster...you must have a screw loose somewh...Uhhhhh...never mind!!!

Always expect to spend twice what you originally expected. Remember the most expensive words in engine building "Well while I'm in here I might as well......."

Thats exactly right man. I mean I didnt have heads on my list at the start and now I am even beyond that with titanium valves and springs. Its is out of controll how much money we spend on these cars but to me atleast its all worth it in the end.
