Default Windshield marks

This could be any windshield. I bought a 1995 Camaro that was on a used car lot with large shoe polish writing on the windshield, and I cannot get the remains off. After each chilly morning the dew shows the asking price that the lot put on it. The white polish is off, but something is causing the dew to show all the numbers and words from 6 months ago STILL!

Thats what you call the "ghost effect". Its the wax from the shoe polish.
Next time you get a chance and its dry. Get some car wax or polish and do your whole windshield. I do this anyway on my Jeep from time to time. It acts like rain-X...keeps the windshield nice and clear.
After that you shouldn't have the "asking price" on your windshield anymore. If you do, your car may be haunted.
