well the trans ams had 10 more hp in 96 and 97. they also had the option for the ws6 package(ram air). before that it was just the trans am gt. 96 and 97 also had a power antenna instead of the old 3 foot long steel one. the fuel rails on the intake changed too. as for the camaro, i have no clue.

New opti style (I think 3 styles total) went from non-vented to vented in 95 then I don't remember when they changed it again, mid 95's-97 got two cats instead of one, the 10 horsepower difference I'm not too sure but heard it was mainly exhaust, 96-97 is when there is an SS model (305/335 rated) available (about 100 SS LT4's in 97 but your asking about LT1's, just fyi), also they went to OBDII somewhere in 95. I thinkthey areprobably equal after you get into the exhaust mod-for-mod on any f-body LT1.
