i have a 94 z28 and starting the 355 project. im lookin to get rid of allot of usless **** to clean up the engine bay. what can or cant i get red of that wont screw with the computor to much. thanks.

 

well you will need to get a tune either way, so it doesnt really matter what you get rid of or dont.Are you trying to stay emmissions legal ? Do you want to keep ac and power steering ? is this car gonna be a DD ?

 

You can get rid of your fat girlfriend and trade her in for a hot skinny one!! J/K!

 

We need to know what the car is going to be used for. If it's a pure track car that doesn't need to pass emissions you can ditch the A.I.R. system, it's just one little electric motor though...You can get rid of the A/C if you really want, but then your defroster won't work as well as it could. Once again, if it's a pure track car this shouldn't be an issue anyway. I suppose you can start ditching pieces of the interior...but there really isn't too much aside from emissions stuff and A/C that you can remove from the engine bay without some sensor freaking out.

 

pcm is allready going to be tuned because i want to get rid of emissions stuff. car will be used for road/ track. all i really want left in there is power steering.

 

well you can go and do an egr delete,air delete,air conditioning delete

 

do you need a pcm reflash if you delete the egr and emmissions

 

no, when you reflash, its just bring it back to factory specs, whatever he decides to do it will have to be tuned out

 

probaly havin pcmforless.com do the computor. but for the egr were can i find the block off plates for the headers
