water pump gear?

Default water pump gear?

not quit sure what it is called but i have an electric water pump that im putting on the motor that im building at the moment and i was told that i can just get a plug for the timing cover so i dont have to us that water pump gear?

That was easy...Water Pump Plug
But why do you want to go with an electric water pump?

cause i already have it from when i pulled the motor (the guy before me installed it) so i mine as well keep it.

That plug calls for some welding, time to fire up the old tig and i hope u dont have the plastic timing cover that is floating around as a replacement for the gm aluminum one.

nope i still have the gm one. do you guys thinks its worth doin all this. or would it be better to just throw the gear back in

For an every day street driven car, I would prefer a mechanical water pump. If the electric pump ever fails (electric motors live only so long), you're stuck at the side of the road overheating. A mechanical water pump will rarely go out to the point where you can't limp it home, or at least to somewhere more convenient.

it says that the plug is for 94-97 i have a 93 motor is there something diffrent between the 93 and the 94 timing cover that i cant get this plug?

93 has a different size hole for the seal. its smaller than the 94-97

Maybe you can find someone to turn it down on a lathe, if a smaller one isn't available.
