take the timing cover off and on the backside take a flathead place it on the edge of the seal and smack it with a hammer... while your at it get a whole timing cover gasket set comes with a new water pump opti and crank seal also a new timing cover gasket

Don't take the timing cover off, if it isn't leaking. No need to fix what ain't broke, unless you like opening extra cans of worms. When I did mine, I didn't even mess with the crank hub or seal, as it was fine too. There's a trick to getting the new water pump seal on. To get the old seal out, there is a slot at the top of the opening where the seal fits into the cover, and you can pry it out with a screwdriver.
