Valvetrain Help

Default Valvetrain Help

I jus got the comp cam 07-304-8 that i ordered for my 93 camaro Z28.. I'll b using a new set of stock lifters and i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a good rocker arm and pushrod setup from comp for me... Thnx

Just grab a set of Comp gold roller rockers (maybe go 1.6:1, it's what the LT4 ran).

i hope you know that's not all you're going to need to swap a cam. since that's a fairly small cam, you should be fine with self-aligning rockers. comp pro mags are a good choice to go with.

you're also going to need a new spring kit as the stock springs are only meant to handle the stock cam. many people use the crane 10308-1 kit, however its hard to find now since crane went out of business. comp cams makes a beehive and i believe the number is 26918 but don't hold me to that.

you're also going to want to get hardened pushrods for a little extra security as the stock pushrods aren't that strong. i think that's about all i have right now but i think i'm forgetting something

Yeah.. I've already got the 918 beehive springs..

any reason you're going with such a small cam? just curiosity

chromoly push rods. trickflows r cheap and good. depending on the cars mileage id look into new timing chain.
