turn signals

Default turn signals

my left turn signal is all messed up, i'll try to explain the best i can in hopes that someone can help me, with the lights on the indicator on the dash for the turn signal stays lit and the front left turn signal will not light, but the rear does, it doesnt flash, with the lights off the left front will light, but still not flash, im pretty lost on this, any help is appreciated.. thanks in advance.. btw, i have a 93 v6

sounds like your flasher is out dont know why they both wont light though but i would start at the flasher and go from there

i know im the one asking the question and all, but seems more like a short of some kind, was hopeing maybe some one knew the right spot, maybe a common problem area?.. with the ignition on and the lights on the light just wont come on........

yeah but its probably not blinking due to the flasher so you should start there and make sure it is right its like a 5-10 dollar part if you have a short you might want to make sure other parts are working correctly first so that it is easier to track down the short

is it flashing on the other side ok? if the bulb is burnt out or has a bad connection it will not blink. change the bulb and clean connections and check wires while your at it. also check your ground wires from the block to the body. should be a strap on the driver side in front of the engine.

Are those bulbs round with the little ***** on each side? I can't remember, but if they are, make sure they are in the correct way, if they are turned around, they will cause that very same symptom. Drove myself nutzz trying to figure that one out on my Jeep truck.

sounds like that flasher it will do that if it has gone bad i had the same problem in my s10 5 dollar parts and problem fixed like stix 80 start there go with this saying K.I.S.S it means keep it simple stupid not to come off rude but that saying has saved my but alot just dont over think the problem

thanks guys, i'll start with the flasher, any one know where its located on a 93 v6?

its mounted to a bracket right of steering column and above the aldl/data link connector, ill be back in a couple.

it does flash fine on the passenger side.. forgot to mention that part.. and like i said, the bulb wont flash but will come on with the lights off, but when i turn them on the bulb wont light at all..
