I didn't mean to upset anyone or call anybody a liar, I was just suggesting that someone might be mistaken...I deal with these transmissions on a regular basis, and I did not remember ever seeing or hearing anything about a 2-3 band, so I looked at a factory GM service manual to make sure about it before I posted that there wasn't a 2-3 band...

Exactly the same thing Happened to me, but on mine I had a cooler line blow due to rubbing on the sway bar. So I believe it was caused by low fluid and burned the clutch packs or something in that area. I ended up buying a used tranny and am currently in process of installing it now (hopefully it still works). I am going to keep my old one and rebuild it as a back up in case this one goes in the next couple months then Ill just sell it.
Ps. Does any one have tips on removing/ installing these transmissions? Because getting my old one out was an ordeal and a half. The two top bolts to the engine are right behind the cowl and required every socket extension in the box lol.
