transmission plug??
I jus hit a brick of ice. now my car won't run right n any gear but 1st or 2nd. I looked under the car and everything looks fine as far as I cam tell. somebody who knows more bout cars than me (which ain't much) said lt1 transmissions come wit a plug on the side of them that I might knocked off? do that sound correct? I hope this ain't gonna b a pricey fix.
The plug is on the pass side of the trans, near the end before the tail shaft. crawl under and make sure that there is no damage, check fluid levels, and if you can get the car to a trans shop see if they can pull the codes from the trans. The only year of car that cant talk to a computer is the 93. The rest of them can.

can someone get a picture of this plug because i got a plug or something hanging down near the middle of the car by the trans, i think its an o2 sensor but im not sure. it shouldnt have any because it has an aftermarket exhaust with no cats.
sgt what yr is your car, sorry forgot. you may have broken a 02 wire, trany should not effect the way the motor runs.
96 you would still have 02 sensor wires there, one may have fallen down.

with the 4l60e you have a few plugs, should be a couple on the diver side and one on the passenger side. your gona have to crawl around under there and see if you can find any issues. hope you didnt damage the opti.
nevermind. the tranny is done. it did better when I put the oil in it at first but know it's back to not runnin good 30mph is bout all it'll do. I checked the fluid and it's black. burnt up some gears maybe? ima take it to the shop. if it's shot. is there an upgrade tranny y'all would recommend or jus rebuild with a shift kit? what is the stock tranny?
