I have a 97 camaro z28,transmission is totalled. So I got one out of a van looks identical to it thing is the sensor is on the driver side instead of the passenger. Is there a certain model or year that the tailhousing needs to come out of.Do you think this transmission will work(has w30 stamped on it)4l60e,minus the tailhousing.

 

well a 4l60e is a 4l60e it should work you might be able to use the tail housing off of your original and put it on the new one

 

Mine was in pieces.I found one in a junk yard but the sensor was on the opposite side.Are there a few other vehicles that have the same tail housing?
