hello all, i have Chevy Camaro z28 94" and my transmission is broken, i can go back but not forward, i was thinking is it mutch problem changing the transmission from 4L60E to 700 ?

 

check out the sticky on transmissions. you will need to use a 4l60e, preferably from a 94. you will need to check the plugins to make sure they are the same. 700r4 will not work without an added electronic control box. im assuming you have checked the fluid level.

 

i have changed the oil but still not working do anyone have info of where i can buy a electronic control box for my 700 trans so i can let it under my car ?

 

depending on the 700r4 your using your going to have as much into modifying your system as it would take to get rebuilt done on your 4l60e. shift control boxes are not cheap but some 700 do not require any info from the computer. you will need the tv cable setup and a tb from a 93 camaro im sure theres more.

As Craby stated, it would be a lot easier for you to locate another 4L60E with the proper connector. The 4L60Es are very common and your local wrecking yard probably has one or two sitting there that they can warranty for 30 days or so.
