torn intake hose elbow
I was having fluctuating idle problem and found my intake hose that connects between t/b and MAF sensor torn at the clamping area. I temporarily repaired it with some weather-strip adhesive and silicone. I went to the local GM dealer and they wanted $204.00 ! Wow, does that sound correct? Can anyone please advise me on a good aftermarket on-line site where I can buy one ? thanks in advance for any replies

well, all it is is a tube, u dont necessarily have to buy a new one. try looking at a plumbing supplies store. you will probably be able to find something to replace it, and not look all that different then be fore. being crafty, and still keepin ur ride lookin good is a very useful tool.

If you want GM parts at a discount and you don't have a good relationship with your local dealer, try this site.

Try www.gmpartsdirect.com. Don't forget to get the 1LE intake elbow. It doesn't have the air silencer, so it's one straight shot of air. With the standard elbow, there is a hole in it that leads down into the air silencer.
I bought a 1LE intake elbow a while back, and noticed a slight increase in throttle response. Don't expect to pick up any hp gain from it, but uninterrupted airflow is never a bad thing. I paid like $69 or something for it.
