tips for new 1997 z28
so i just found my new money pit. Its a 97 z28 m6 with 5k miles. Its mint condition and all stock aside from custom made rims, grannitelli (SP?) maf, ebach springs and 40 series muffler. What performance upgrade should i do or just keep it as is?
Id like to do headers, electric cutouts, CAI, 58mm TB and intake, then 4.11s (or are they 4.10s?) in that order. Ill also get new rims and tires (wider 275-285) when they need to be done as there new now.
Any tips or advice will be greatly appreciated, or parts for sale too

5000 miles?
take off all aftermarket everything... put it back to stock... put it in your garage and don't think about anything other than how much $ it will be worth in 50 years.
In all seriousness i think you have a 1 in a million car. save it.

your killing me, im 20 and just bought my dream car. i just old my 94 z and this guy just popped up. hes in a divorce and the wife was going to take it anyways. i will say this, i will ship it to anyone for 20K. im going to drive it. I understand its value, but in my eyes this car wants to be driven

Your right... im 24... let me explain. If you drive that, and rack up all the miles, its great fun. its probably one of the more cool things i can think of, but, on the other hand. if you rarely take it out. just keep the miles down as much as you can in 10 -20 years you will be able up to 60 if the trend of camaros holds true. another 10 years and your looking in the 100k range. keep it factory, beautiful and least possible miles and you could retire....
If you plan to really mod this car, the throtlebody is the first thing i would do, CAI, then rims/tires, headers, (do a full exhaust, 40's are great but go all out.) exhaust. those are my only recommendations. (save the rims that are on it. they are not always easy to find.) this way, you have all the "standard mods" and get the power gains, but you can take it back to stock without much trouble. make sense?

A car is only that nice once. You can never no matter how bad you want put it back to that condition. That car has everything going for it. If it was a V6 I would say who the hell cares, it will never be worth anything. But it isnt.
Take very very good car of that car and leave it alone.
Buy another one in a year or so.

Car covers
Check these covers out, they are high quality and have a 2 year warranty... I've had 2 replaced and they are not joking i got one replaced one day before my warranty ended.
The only negative is that you need to mark the mirrors on the cover so they can have it fit exactly to your car.
