Default Timing chain cover

Searched but could not find an answer. I'm going to replace the OptiSpark and while in there replace the timing cover seals and gaskets because they are weeping a bit. My question is: can the timeing cover be removed/replaced without disturbing the oil pan?

no, you need to drop the pan a little to get it in. if I remember right I got it out but could not get it back in without pulling bolts at the front and loosening the rear ones so front would drop enough to get it in without issue.
