Throttle Body question

Good evening.
Its been a long time since ive been on here, about a year and a half. At which time, i owned a 1999 Camaro RS. Since then Ive picked up a 1996 Impala SS.
Ive replaced my Intake with one off a 97 Camaro SS. At that time, the original intake had about 135xxx miles on it. Kept having leaks so i figured i replace the entire casting. Ive noticed a nicely power boost from the swap out, but im wondering a couple things. Is it because there may be differences between the LT1 for the b-body vs the F body? Or because the 97 Camaro SS intake only had 30k miles on it?
Secondly, are there any differences between the throttle bodies for each? I know the MAF's are different along with the heads and etc. Just wondering about the small stuff. Thanks

I believe they only made 3 different intake manifolds for the lt1. 92-93 are the same, 94-97 are the same and the lt4. The 92-93 throttle body differ from the 94-97 in regards to the t/v linkage for the trans. The gain in performance must have been a vacuum leak.

The intakes don't really wear out as they age. They don't have any moving parts. They only direct the air flow to the cylinders. You probably are noticing better performance from getting the newer intake to seal up properly. There may have been a slight difference in the intake runners between the Camaro and Impala intake as well.
You would have gotten similar gains by getting the original intake sealed up.
