Default throttle body install

I have a stock 48mm throttle body for my 95 Z28. I was looking into getting a 58mm for it. I heard that you can't just replace the 48mm with the 58mm because the manifold intake needs bored in order to handle the extra flow. Some one please make sense of this for me. As well as what throttle body I should use, if I should put one in at all.

the stock intake manifold will not accommodate the 58mm tb. the openings are not large enough. whats been done to the motor. a 58mm tb on a stock motor is not going to show any gains. you would be better off spending the money on cai or exhaust.

I already have BBK headers and Borla exhaust and a K&N CAI. I asked in an earlier thread about this and you recommended getting the chip done. I took a look at that website you recommended and was not entirely comfortable mailing my chip to someone I don't know. Can you recommend anyone in NY that does the chip work? Also, what type of suspension do you recommend?

thanks.

if your good with computers solomon can send you the tune and you can burn it yourself. you would have to send the whole pcm/ecu in to be tuned. 94 up is that way. pcmforless is another place. lol... im in tokeland, on the other side of the country so i dont know any tuners or dyno shops in ny.

a good set of shocks can make a world of difference. i would recomend koni shocks, strano had a sale on em not to long ago, yep still goin on, Strano Performance Parts - Parts Search anyways like i said high quality shocks work really nice on the 4th gen camaro. everything else (lca's, stb, panhard bar) is frosting. if ordering from strano's call and sam will help you with what your looking for, parts for ride and purpose. great guy and very helpfull. the best suspension man in the country imo.

This will work, I'm a jet mechanic. Drag go's up with the square of the speed of the incoming air.

I second that. I followed craby's advice on a set of Koni's and they are unbelievable...but call sam at stranoparts and talk to him. He really set me straight. I also have pcmforless tune. It works good with my setup.
