browse ads in racingjunk.com since your vehicle is for racing and see what the asking prices are but asking and selling prices tend not to be the same
if i looked at it and my application was for the street, I would severely discount my offer because the vehicle has been raced

A lot of people make that mistake. They pile a lot of money into a car making it very fast they end up with such a small market of people willing to buy a car like this it will acually drop invalue. On the other hand all it takes is one person that wants it. In most cases when people what this type of car they build it themselfs because it is the only way to be 100% sure it is together right and not beat.

I 100% agree with both. I know I would have never bought it without knowing what was in it, and I got a real good deal for it.
I have always built my own motors except for this one.....but I have been into the engine and verified it all. My buddy had a 396 stroked stang, raced about 10xs and had about 25 grand in the engine alone, and when he sold it he could only get about 19,000 for the entire car. I knew it was a tough market to sell in. Im gonna prosrteet my 66 Fairlane, that I drove when I was in highschool...lol

where I live most of the vehicles like yours were owned by carpenters and others in the trades. That's just how it was. When the work went away for these guys you watched prices of their toys drop every week because they needed money for rent and food. Boats suffered the same fate.
It's still a very soft market for race cars here in sunny FL and even attendance is down at the tracks.
oh, and the prospect of $5 per gallon gas won't help you much either.
I'm already seeing som moms and dads put the kabosh on junior getting a performance car and are looking for econo boxes. The used car lots have already begun jacking up the price of the gas sippers and putting estimated mpg numbers on the windshield

try collector car nation to list your car
i keep an eye on the site if anything jumps at me
this is one of their featured deals right now. Check out all the parts and the asking price. A 502 BBC and powertrain to handle it alone is worth it
