Thinking about purchasing a 02-04 C5 Corvett
There is a 04 C5 Corvette at a Corvette Specialist lot about 10 miles from my house. I'm going to check the car out today or tomorrow.
I was hoping to get some opinions on the C5.
Is it a good car?
Are they reliable ?
Personally I think Chevy makes a pretty good gas engine. I was hoping to get some feedback about the 99-04 vettes.
I was gonna sell my 96 Z28 and Dodge Cummins to buy it.
Thanks !

No, its a C5...I went and looked at it today...Its just what I want...except....ITS AN AUTOMATIC !
a Z06 would be nice though Haha...a little out of my price range...
This one is going for 25k
But I don't want an auto. I haven't given up yet, I'm gonna go check Houston eventually and see what they have. I live in Beaumont, TX

Yea I agree 100% man. Buy once, and get what you're looking for.
The only thing here, is that the Vette is gonna be my daily driver. And I hate to sell my two cars and buy a car that's gonna require a bunch of maintenance down the road.

$25k? Woof! There's at least one nice thing about living up here in a colder winter climate....winter prices. There's a millennium yellow 04 near me on craigslist, 26k miles, 6 speed, for $19,500. It'd be worth it for you to do a fly up & drive it down deal (if you're far away that is).

Suburbs of Chicago. It's really starting to become a buyers market for summer cars. I'm half tempted to get one just to sit on for the winter and sell it in the spring. Here's the 04, and wow, I noticed the price went down $500 too (they didn't mark it down in the heading): http://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/ctd/2080773615.html
