Default switchng to true duals...

im go to be going to true dual route within the next week or so. right now i have 3" pacesetter LT's with the matching ory-pipe with a magnaflow muffler on the end or the y pipe. i like the sound of it but its not a good set-up underneath the car. and its all clamped on cause i did it with the intentions of itbeing temporary....
anyway, im doing a 3" x pipe dumped before the axle and i was wondering what mufflers would you guys go with... i havent heard many TD's on an lt1 in person so thats why im asking. i dont care how loud it is as long as its reasonable.

some of the ones i was thinking about going with are the moroso spiral flows, or the dynomax 18" bullet mufflers.

DYNOMAX-- http://youtube.com/watch?v=LOVBmj4NTYE
MOROSO-- http://videos.streetfire.net/video/H...flow_54555.htm

any other suggestions?

ohh!!! and my y-pipe will be for sale if anyone is interested.

I would check around with others that have run that setup and ask them about ground clearance. Chech out the SLP bullit race mufflers they sounds rather mean

I believe TSP has an X-Pipe that has some resonators in it. It's apparently pretty loud, but sounds good.

I wish you would have put your y pipe up for sale like a week ago lol...I used to have true duals but i didnt like the very little ground clearance so i just took them off. Although the sound was amazing it got annoying scraping the exhaust over everything. Now im in search for a good cheap cat back cause right now i just modified my stock exhaust to fit my y-pipe

yeah its good and also bad, it idles great and its incredible accelerating, but yes it does suck for ground clearance,i cant go over any speed bumps at all, if i was you and still wanted it id try and get the suspension to raise a little higher or get bigger rims/tires.the only other con is the universal x pipe isnt made really so good for our cars, unless you have a mandrel bender, it just depends how you end up doing it, i had to do a lot of cutting and measuring, took about 3 hrs from start to finish

yea, ground clearance shouldnt be too bad on the set up im going with from what i've seen. im getting it done at a local exhaust shop so the x pipe will be custom made. i want everything to be welded up nice with extra hangers put in so that i dont have to worry about for a while cause im sick of messing with my exhaust ever since i did my headers. that was a fun job!!! hahaha [8D]
i should be getting it done on tuesday so i'll post up pics sometime this week.
