Default Stroker short block companies

I am just wondering what companies anyone has used or heard of that has a positive reputation and good quality short blocks? I want to build my own so I can say I did it and be proud of it but I'm thinking it might be cheaper to find a short block. I've found a few companies, but I'm just seeing what others have used.

Golen Engine Service is pretty good; GM High Tech Performance did an article on an LT1 rebuild and they used GES for the shortblock

Good luck and kill Rustanks!!!

Well that's good to know. That's one of the sites I found and I really like their all forged 4 bolt 396. I want to power add it as well so 4 bolt and all forged is a must!

Eagle Rotating Assembly - SBC 388, LT1 SPECIAL, 3.800x4.030, Forged Crank, H-bea - USA Performance Parts
What about these guys? I wouldn't mind buying at least a rotating assembly either and a 388 LT1, it's different. You would think how wrong can you go with collecting parts an selling a kit but you never know I guess.
