Default stroker???

jus wondering what it would cost to make a 383 stroker? i see some complete engines on craigslist for about $300(i know the quality of the overall motor will matter). Im thinking i could get one and fix make it into a 383 and still have my maro to drive around will its gettin done. plus i havent done anything to my motor yet that would b a waste if i got an extra motor.

300 bucks for a stroker? are we talking LT1? for a QUALITY shortblock i'd guess in the neighborhood of 4 grand. 2 grand for heads and cam. plus whatever you spend for bolt ons

It will cost you at least a solid $3,000 just to do the short block, depending on what brand parts you buy. You can buy already built 383 short blocks in the neighborhood of $3,000 or get that cheap motor, have it properly machined, and buy all the internals to build one and that will run you about the same. On top of that, from Lloyd, a custom cam, heads (preferably LE Trickflows with a stroker) and a p&p intake is another $2,500.
