straight pipe/ muffler delete
i have some money to weld a pipe to were the muffler would be if i chose to remove it. how does this sound? i have heard it is actually not good for your car. then again ive heard it can be good to. ill leave the cats in and just run pipes to the exhaust tips with no muffler.

i dont suggest not having a muffler just assuming but theres no emissions where you live if i were you id get rid of the cats and get a performance muffler it would prob sound alot better and no muffler will destroy your gas mileage

well you do have a better story for the name lol and OP there's clips of lt1s with exhaust cutouts including mine on YouTube if you wanna get an idea what it sounds like. I know none of them do it justice though

Below is what I put on my old 96. I found someone on ebay selling the center part. The right bent pipe I recycled from the original system, and I had the left one made. The tips are resonated. How did it sound? Awesome. It was plenty loud when the right foot went down, but hardly loud at all while cruising the highway. I even had a couple of times where someone at a stop light was impressed enough to ask me who's system I had. Oh, and it cost a hell of a lot less that one of those expensive name brand exhausts.
And running with a less restrictive exhaust isn't going to hurt your gas mileage. If that were true, then you might as well weld your system shut to increase your gas mileage.

i have heard from other people have does this say they didnt lose any mpg and it sounded awesome. a small amount of power was lost low down but a considerable amount of power was gained higher up.
