Default Steering Column Question

I have a 95 V6 Camaro with a manual transmission and I need to change out the steering column. Is there much of a diff between and automatic column and a manual shift. I have been told there are some wiring diffs. How much will that effect me?

Thanks

Default RE: Steering Column Question

The ignition switch is different on the columns due to differnt neutral safety switches. Also the lock cylinders are different. On an automatic, you can just turn the key all the way back and remove it. On the manual steering column there is a button on the lock cylinder that must be depressed in order to bring the key back and for its removal.
