Default stall converter???

my trans is leaking from the front. converter seal I think. since I gotta drop the trans to replace it I was thinking bout jus putting the 3200 stall in while i got it out. will it b aight even though my car is stock till I get my upgrades? it's not really a daily driver. I drive it about 100 miles a week.

is it from under the converter cover or higher up? i had a fitting on the cooling line that was leaking on mine. really slow so it was hard to find. it looked like it could be the front seal but when i took the cover off there was no trail.

There is no such thing as a "stall converter". But, yes, you can change the stock torque converter with one of a different stall speed, while the transmission is out.

3200 is extreme for a stock motor. yes you can do it but depending on the converter im not so sure you will like it. i would think a trany shop would recommend a 2000 or 2500 stall for your situation.

I've heard some of my son's friends call it that as well. I don't know if it's a Fast and Furious thing like NOS but it does grate on me when I hear it.
