Default sputtering problem....

hey guys, well i just bought a 94 z28 a couple weeks ago and a couple days into it i noticed the car would sputter a little while driving and it kept getting worst and now it barely wants to start until i floor the gas pedal...it sometimes works good but it sputters while i'm at idle and when i step on the gas pedal...the car doesn't leak any oil or anything, it doesn't have any knocks or anything overall the car works fantastic other then the sputtering problem...when i drive the car it feels like it wants to bog out like it wants to stall but once in a while the car works completely fine i just ordered a new optispark, cables and spark plugs...but any suggestion will be greatly appreciated...

scann for codes. you have a 94 so its obd1 but is different that the 93 and earlier so you need a scanner that will work on the 94. you cannot flash the codes. sounds like its running rich or has a weak spark. could also be knock sensor failing or shorted, high fuel pressure, stuck or failing injector/s, failing cat, plugged air filter, failing fuel pump, fouled or failing 02 sensors etc. need to test fuel pressure and check plugs for fouling.
