well a little back ground info. during the summer i installed long tubes and had a tune. i put new plugs in and i had to get a o2 sensor ( 4 wire universal one )for the passanger side cause i couldnt get the old one out. i didnt run the wires good and they melted to the header. caused a few problems but i rewired them and ran them better and tied them up so no more melting. iv checked and rechecked them again and there fine. but my problem now is when ever im at higher rpm or say in 5th at about 2k rpm and give it a bit of gas just to speed up alittle it will start a sort of sputering. its not boging down or anything its still got plenty of power. iv ran a scanner on it and it came up with nothing. so my question is does anyone know what might be causeing this?

 

im gona say the 02 sensor is failing, just a guess though. if you ground or run 12v power to the sensor wire it can ruin it. have you tried to scan yet? whats up bud?

 

yea, i was leaning toward the o2 sensor but i wasnt really sure. and about grounding it can ruin it. im pretty sure it might be shot, when the wires melted to the headers it shut my fans, a/c off and it was missing worse then is it now. and yea i tried scaning it. drove around with it for awhile and it did it alot but never poped a code. is there a brand you might sugest for a good o2 sensor. and not much has been up, just waiting on christmas so i can spend some more money on my camaro. been trying to track down some fog lights for mine. guy who owned it befor me had some wierd ones just screwed into the bumper. so im trying to get the original ones. hows yours going?

 

gm are best but also cost the most. bosch that i had didnt last long. i have a set of used lights but the lenses are cracked. got new oem ones on ebay but they cost a arm and a leg. going good. fishing 80 hr weeks right now so no time for the car. did get some 315's to put on the back for summer ordering some 11 in rims.

 

hm, i might just try an ac delco one. i found some used ones for around 50 from a company, gonna try some junk yards around here first to see if they got some. hope tha fishings going good for ya. and nice, what kind did ya get?

 

went with 315/35R-17 kumho ecsta xs, tried to get some goodyear eagles but cant get em in that size.
