Default So can you help a newbie out?

Hey guys, I recently bought my first car, a 1997 Z28 SS LT1 with SLP exhaust, oil cooler, and a Hurst short shifter. Now what im looking for is any tips or tricks you guys might have to improve performance. Also any cheap parts that add power. Im looking into buying a Super 44 Muffler but cant find one, will someone please link me to one? All is appreciated thanks

Well I would start with a cold air, long tube headers, and rear gears, but it really depends on what you want to spend. You'll probably like the slp that is on there better than the flowmaster super 44. I love the way the SLP on my car sounds, but I guess its all about preference. Look on jegs.com for the muffler if you want to switch though.

Thats a good idea! Ill check jegs and as for money a couple hundred now then more later, as for the cold air, it has a ram air so no need for it?

k&n would help but a flowmaster wont give you anymore performance than the slp i have the slp loud mouth on mine and it performs fine and sounds good too but i know that some some consider them raspy most other performance mods will cost more than 150 but there are plenty btw welcome to the world of lt1's

I would do headers if I were you, but they are a pain to install.
