snout removal help needed
Ok, I have ripped everything off the motor just short of the snout. This thing is being so complicated. I have a bolt up puller to try and pull this snout off and it just seems like it is on there really good and requires more than enough force to pull this thing off. Would it be easier to use a clamp like puller more so than a bolt on puller. I dont want to hurt my really fast car!! Does the snout require imance amounts of force to pull it off or what guys/gals? HELP!?

Do not remove the center bolt, just loosen it up about 1/4", then pull out till the hub (snout) hits the bolt head, repeat several times till it is completely out. You will see the reason for this when you look at the bottom of the hub. Basically, the bottom of the hub is closed off except for the hole for the holding bolt. The end of the puller is usually too large to go through the hole in the hub, and bottoms out against the hub instead of the crank, so you wind up pulling the hub against itself, and nothing is going to move.
