Default Small Nos Shot

I know this has been asked by others by others, but im considering a small shot of nos (50-75). Im really just wanting a good pick-me-up in power when I feel like it. From what ive read 50-75 shots are pretty safe and Stock LT1's have the next best thing to forged pistons. Anyone know where I can get a decent system. I dont plan on ever pushing the shot higher so if the kit is cheaper because it wont put a bigger shot, it is fine

Check out summit racing and jegs. I know they have a couple good kits for LT1s for cheap. Also, google "lt1 nitrous kit" and you should find a bunch of stuff. NX and Zex are the best brands IMO.

A stock lt1 can take a 50. I would be scared to try bigger though.

Honestly, if I had a stock lt1 (besides exhaust and intake) and I was doing nitrous, I would be a lot more worried about the crappy 10 bolt blowing apart than hurting the motor. LT1s can safely handle 75-100 shot, but those 10 bolts can't handle the torque from Fred Flintstone's feet.

Yeah, I was more worried about my pistons, but I guess they are the next best thing to forged. My plan is to not spray until im safely in second gear and its going to be an open throttle system. Im hoping this will lessen the impact on the rear end.
