have not had any time or money to start on the distribitor.. but have tryed some cheaper things.. firts i put some octane booster in the car and now it dose not skip or knock.. but i still have little power. if you stall it to about 2grand it will spin and pull at about 70% strong.. but from a dead start when you floor it it hesitates then pulls out whithout spining.. before it would not stop spining untill you let off the pedal.. it did backfire on me today? any ideas? i also run some seafoam threw the vac lines and smoked out the neighbors. that was worth the $10 :P
but still no change.

 

when my car began knocking and misfireing i did everything but the opti to no avail. i took the car to a chevy dealership finally...had then cahnge out the whole ignition system and everything is peachy now. have a professional deal with any ignition components other than coil/module on that engine. it's not worth the hastle.
