Default Ride Height

Hey guys, I own a '95 Z and am looking to improve the stance of my car so I was wondering what you guys recommend I do. Do I need to get new spindles and what else would need to be done? Also, does anyone know how much it would roughly cost to get, say, a 2" drop on a camaro? I use this car as a daily driver in the summer so I don't want to sacrifice too much ride comfort or anything, I would just like to improve the appearance of my Z. Thanks for the help guys!

my car has a 1.5 inch drop. its not very convenient when i have to get a jack under the car because its so low it wont fit without having a friend lift up on the side of the car. i didnt do any of the work myself, so im not sure how much anything would cost, etc. but it definitely made the car look much smoother and handle a lot better because my friend has a stock z28 and its amazing what it does

2" would be a huge drop for these cars. most people go with a 1.5" lowering spring and a nice struts. google the name sam strano and go to his site...email him as well and he can help you get your stance right

Haha, I have the same problem! My car has been dropped 1.5"-2" by the previous owner, so I don't know what was used to drop it or exactly by how much. It is a pita to try and just change the oil, my dad's jack won't fit under it. Having a lowered car is nice, but it has its problems. Around here, the roads are ultra craptastic, so I end up bottoming out and scraping the underside more than I would care to...BUT it looks so much better than stock...

i used the koni double adjustable struts which allow u to drop the front 3/4 in using stock springs. did the hose mod on the back. cost on that was for the hose. that dropped the back an inch. again using stock springs. ride is great. back is a little lower than id like but it set the back down to were it hooks up better. i may set another layer of hose on the spring to gain what i need. koni shocks in back set a little on the soft side let it drop a little extra to.

Thanks for the help! I'll take a look into 1" - 1.5" drop kits then.
