Default Replacing Radiator oulet tank?

Can you replace the radiator outlet tank? I found the part for $50 and my side tank is leaking because of a small crack. Has anyone does this before? A new radiator with a built in auto trans cooler is like 500 bucks(way to much).

500 bucks? Where are you shopping? Rockauto has aftermarket radiators for $112 and AC Delco ones for $237. I picked 1995 out of the air, not knowing what you have. http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php
