Default repair help, please!

dealer told me i need a new clutch master and slave cylinder... would it be stupid to not change clutch while doing that repair? the whine is not too bad right now; how long can i last with the bad cylinders now?

how easy is it to change an O2 sensor by myself?

thanks!

o2s are easy its just right under the car 10 min, it takes longer to jack the car up. you don't have to change the clutch if its not bad.

Your post is confusing, A failing Master/slave cylinder will not cause a whine. It will cause a hard to shift and hard to get into gear issue. Whine would be from the Release bearing.

02 sensor on the passenger side can be a pita. the clutch cylinders should not effect the clutch. once the cylinder goes you will not be able to use it though. usually gradually goes.

Ok, u need to not be lazy and go out and look at ur slave cylinder, if its bad ul see a leak. Your master cylinder could make a whine/squeeking noise and may be bad even without an external leak.. If u can go WOT and don't feel the clutch slip then u don't need a new clutch.
