I own a 1995 z28 and was planning on removing the cat on my own. If i were to remove the cat and just leave the open pipe where the cat was, would it be too loud to drive? Thanks

 

Yeah it'll be way loud. Too loud depends on how well your tooth fillings are glued in, and how much you can afford the tickets the cops are going to give you.

 

if your just goin to the muffler shop then so long as its not that far just stay outa the throttle as best you can and you should be ok. ive drove to the shop in aberdeen, 35 miles away with open exhaust without getting in trouble. cop went by and i took it outa gear and coasted by him. lol, im sure he woulda let me go after i told him where i was goin.
