Default question about rockers? and stuff

ok i plan to put in the 224/230 cam, we have already been over this, now i am getting chromoly pushrods and either dual valve springs or beehives, now can i keep my factory1.5 rockers? or is there a major reason to get an aftermarket 1.5 rocker?

in the future i want to put on le1 heads with a 1.6 rocker but not till then fyi

why wouldn't you want to use a 1.6 rocker before then? that doesn't make much sense...i don't think your stock rockers will be able to handle that cam...so i'd go with 1.6's now. besides, it will get you extra lift and extra power over your stock rockers

ok so get a 1.6 rocker with the valve springs that will fit inside them, what valve spring rating do i want? i know there are alot of different ones, like 313lbs to much or to little? and what length of pushrods?

I used beehive 918's with a stock 7.20 length pushrod. I found some chromoly pushrods on Ebay for like twenty bucks, my procomp rockers were like sixty and the springs which you do not want to get used were about three fifty for a set with locks and retainers.

pushrod length should ALWAYS be measured before purchased to keep the geometry correct

i think you're still going to need new valve springs...someone might correct me on that...but i would for insurance purposes. but yes, you can put 1.6 rockers on with a stock cam and add like 15 horsepower i believe

nice well valve springs are not alot with the retainers, so that could be another option, do we know what kind of coil bind height i would need just for rockers?

these are the ones i was looking at but i guess if i knew what factory was then that would help a bunch
