Question About EGR and AIR
Ive read the sticky on installing headers. The only thing I'm confused with is, is there any power loss or gains from deleting/blocking the AIR and EGR. Obviously there are some aesthetic reasons like getting rid of that gaudy air pump and things to that nature. But other than creating engine space is there any real reason to doing this?
No gain from removing the EGR if it is working properly. No gain from removing the AIR pump if it is electric, as it only runs during engine warm up. Some gain if the pump is belt driven, but nothing to write home about.
