This is nice but for a few $$ more, you can get the LTCC kit? I'd really rather get away from the opti and get something more reliable. Just my opinion.

ltcc requires a working opti spark.

I've been researching this for the last few hours, and there were some comments around 4-5 years ago (just because there hasn't been a lot of talk at all recently on a lot of F-body forums) that even Petris might be a crapshoot. The eBay rebuild guy quit last year, and refurb ACDelco units can come back with poor refurb quality as well.

If everything is a gamble, should we just go with the best warranty?

I picked one up from a guy in California at pantera efi for 160 bucks in 2018 that has been working with my ltcc fine. can't find on line. lance is the guys name that hooked me up.
