Default problems again!

ok this morning i was letting my car warm up for about 20 minutes because it cold outside. an when i got in my car to back up the check gage light came on an my oil pressure drop below the orange line but when i gave it some gas it went back up to the normal. the only thing that i have recently done was change the oil which i have put at least 500 miles on it since the oil change. i put 5 quarts of 10w30 castrol synthetic oil in it with a tough gaurd fram oil filter. i was thinking could it be the fram oil filter to cause the pressure to drop like that. i normally use ac delco or kn oil filters. any i have a 1993 z28 camaro. why is the oil pressure always low on these cars after it warm up.

are you serious? Frams are pretty legit. Ive usedAC Delco onceand Fram twiceand ive changed my oil 3 times over the last few thousand miles. It shouldnt be the oil filter unless whenyou took the old one off the rubber sealstuck to yourengine and when you put the new one over it it leaked from around the double layered seals. Thathappens alot you go to remove the old filter and the rubber seal sticks to the engine not the filter and you dont notice kuz its alldark and ****ty lookingalready.

well when i used to use fram it actually raised the oil pressure higher than the other filters i used, but id say your oil sending unit could be bad

Sorry Spartan, but Frams are crap> they do a lot of advertising to make people think they are good.

im sure it does, but its not a very well made filter, theres a reason its under 5 bucks, it doesnt collect the oil deposits as well as the mobil 1 or other high grade oil filters do
