pressure and temp questions
alright i have an overheating problem... when im going threw town at about 35 or im in stop and go traffic my heat goes to the white line before the redzone but when im driving 45+ for a mile at a time im at the line above 160... could this be my water pump? or is there something else...
also when i drive my oil pressure verries as my rpms rise... it never goes above the middle line but fluctuates from the line above 40 (i think it is) to the middle line... could this be my oil pump?
car has about 113k miles on it and just has a (deleted cat) cat back exhaust
also if someone could drop a link to a camshaft/header/intake thread that would be great!

Does your car actually overheat (i.e. get into the red at the top of the gauge?). That temperature fluctuation sounds pretty normal, when you're in stop and go or going slow you can't move too much air through the radiator until you hit 220 when the fans come on.
Your oil pressure sounds reasonably normal as well for normal operating temperatures unless you're driving the car really hard. My car usually sits at a little over 60 PSI until it gets warmed up and then it fluctuates with rpm while driving.

alright... no it never hits the red zone unless im revving while moving slow... and yeah thats exactly what my oil does it sits about 60 till its warmed up and then fluxuates... i just wanted to make sure this stuff was alright cause i dont want to be screwwing it up... only had it 3 months

i dont think i have lost a fan and no i never drive with the ac on cause its uncharged and doesnt pump out cold air so i was thinking about doing an a/c delete since i dont have it any way... would that help a little on heat?

getting rid of the a/c would help your performance since you're loosing the little resistance of the pulley, but wouldn't do anything for the heating problem.

o darn... alright... how would i go about checking if a fan is bad? let it over heat and see if their spinning??? lol but if nothing is out of the ordinary just set it on the back burner then?
