You were working on the stock 140 amp alt. right? You used some heat to get the bearing out of the front case half? What did you use for that, just a hand tourch?

Yeahh thats what I used. It worked great. All my parts are sandblasted and ready for some powdercoat XD

Cool, thanks, got a stock housing I've been thinking of getting powdercoated and put in the car.

When I get the chance sometime in the next year, I'm going to put my car up on blocks and tear it apart and get a lot of things that's starting to rust powdercoated black. I want to do the intake, alt., engine brackets, headlight trim and buckets, and most of my convert top pieces. Just so it doesn't get so bad in the future that I can't save it. A lot of preventive maintenence and some beautification at the same time. Thinking about doing my wheels also.

Yeahh Rust is killing me. I live in newyork state and it sucks. Thank god though I never got any on my wheel wells.

I'm gonna be powdercoating the intake, alternator, alt. bracket, the acc brakcet, a few pullys, maybe the door handles, and the hook brakcets that bolt on the hood
