That is not a chip, that is either a programmer that has to remain plugged in into the diagnostic port, or a microprocessor that is inserted between the PCM and harness to change input from the sensors. And, yes, they do work, but don't expect miracles.

Look at the numbers the guy is giving. JET claims a gain of 25 h.p.? That's a little more than a 9% increase over stock, which is huge if it's real. But his performance doesn't show a large gain...13.76 to 13.63 in the quarter, and from 100 to 101 mph? Woop-de-doo!! You can gain more than that by simply removing a little weight from the car. If thisguy noticed a difference, a good portion of it was probablyin his head. Unless you're racing for money and need every last tenth of a second, I would saveyour money for something more beneficial.
ok thanks.. mine is a b4c, and im kinda already putting down better times than a stock or lightly modded LT1.. i just saw that and it made me wonder.. i thought the chips were souldered to the pcm.. thanks for the info
lol, word is that you cant chip a 4th gen.. but there are arguements you can. I think they make some chip that you plug in and they have another plug for a programmer but idk. My opinion is its just better to get a programmer and tune it all to your specs over a set chip.
