Default popping noise when shifting

Alright guys I need some input here so tell me what you think...the other night when I was pulling onto the highway I was shifting just fine got all the way to 4th gear and it got stuck...it would come out of 4th into neutral but thats it, i finally had to force it through all of the gears, then abotu a week after that when I shifted to 3rd it made a loud popping noise and my ABS INOP light came on and then went off when i turned the vehicle off. anyone havve any clue what could be wrong? thanks guys!

Do you know which part of the car made the noise? Is the car still driveable?

The noise is coming from the tranny/ clutch area, the throw out bearing is going out on it so I figure the clutch is too(maybe) the car is driveable it only does it when I shift faster than usual and when the car is at higher rpm's. it doesnt do it when Im cruising just when I shift hard and fast

I think you are on the right track. The throw out bearing is probably worn and not turning freely and grabbing on the pressure plate fingers & making a mess.
