Default Pilor bearing install

The car is a 97 camaro, Im installing a spec stage 2 clutch and had a question about the pilot bearing. On one side the bearing is flat but the other side it is beaveled. which side goes into the crank? I have been looking all over the internet and I found one site that side the flat surface goes into the crank and the beaveled surface faces out but it was on a 82 or so camaro, is it the same with a the 97? I beleive 97 have a T56 trans. I am using the stock flywheel. Also with the clutch release fork to remove it I just pulled down on it but now when I push it back up so the clip locks it has alot of play. Do I need to press the fingers of the clip down and slip them under the metal block or what? Thanks alot
