PCM for less "load yourself" tune
I was wondering how many people have done the "load yourself" tune offered by pcmforless. It sounds tons better than actually sending them your pcm off and not having your car for a few weeks. Plus if you need some fine tuning sounds like thy will work with you. I was just wondering if this is true and if you can tune your car yourself off this setup (saying you have the supported tuning programs on your computer) Any advice would be nice. I am going to be putting the final touches to the exhaust on my car by the end of the month and thought a tune for the mods would be in order to get the full potential out of them.

umm...sending them your computer doesn't take weeks. i sent mine to madz28 on a monday and had it back on friday. i guess if you have the programs on your computer and the know-how, then getting a tune through email isn't a horrible idea

if you go ahead and buy the cable for your laptop, then you can use that with troubleshooting with various software. I bought the cable and then just had them email me the tune. The cable is like 90 bucks I think, and there's so many freeware tuning and dianostic software on the net you can use it with.

If i were u i would buy the adm cable...they sell it with a usb port. Get the LT1 edit (initial program) read the pcm. Send (Ken) them the original file. They will look at it and ken will send you the programs for the lt1 edit. Run them and then you can tune anything in the pcm. You will have total control my friend. I also know where there are a lot of different tunes that you can start with. Base tune..to get u close right away. Just let me know if u have questions. Hope this helps
