umm yes and im not up on carb. i know lt headers are not leagal so best you can do is shorties. the cam i have is the largest emission legal cam elliotts has.

Most cams and long tubes aren't going to pass emissions. Unfortunately, those 2 pieces are big performers. You could always look into a smog waiver, but I can't imagine it being cheap in CA (if it exists).

yea i might get a legal cam and see about headers. i kinda wanted lt headers because of their performance.... i do have a good friend... who can get one of his good friends to pass smog for 250-300. worth it?

Edit: Just curious, how much will cams and the LE2 heads add (hp/torque-wise)?

its going to be tough and expensive to get to 400 in cali. you have to have the cats in the same place as original and im not sure you can use high flow cats. you better do some research on it. im sure theres lots of info on the net for ya.

Even stock and bolt-on cars benefit from a good torque converter, I run the Yank SS 3600 myself. A cammed car without a converter is just senseless.
