They make the pipes rust faster.

Most of the time it's the guage. When I did the rebuild of the top end of my old 88 Sierra the guage was lying and said it was hot when it wasn't. Same with my moms 96 Monte Carlo. My dad replaced the intake gaskets in it and sure enough the guage said it was overheating when it wasn't.

Really? That's nice to know... I think I am going to take a look into that... I did not think it was the gauge, but I think that's the only thing I have not tried yet... Thanks
