Make sure you have all the air out of the system... If i have air in mine my gauge will give all kinds of crazy readings. Parking on a steep hill or jacking the nose of the car up as fas as possible when you are bleeding it helps.

when is the last time it had a coolant flush? if it has been a while, now might be the time to flush the entire system.

drain it, flush it in sections with a garden hose, put it together, fill it properly, bleed it, drive it, top it off, bleed again... should be good after that point as long as your pump and fans are working properly

is the engine throwing any codes? running lean maybe?

agree ^^^ can only be a few things, air in system or system is not doin its job cooling fluid, may be the pump is not performing. is the air dam still in place.

Check for foreign items up in front of the radiator, plastic bags are a favorite of my car. Leaves also will cause enough restriction if built up.

i think my problem is another blown head gasket. I was flushing the coolant with a water hose and its still getting hot steam started to come outta the radiator and i got moisture and black stuff comin outta one pipe. and i put some oil on on the hot header and it bubbled. i dont have a drain pan to actualy check to c if its milky what was on the dip stick looked fine.
